At elevated temperatures, strength of this steel is slightly higher than, and oxidation resistance is similar to, that of 18-8 type steels.Certain design and processing procedures may cause these products to become susceptible to stress-corrosion cracking; SAE ARP 1110 recommends practices to minimize such conditions.
