Abstract

Sets out procedures which are to be followed when applying corrosion inhibition products (commonly known as rust-proofing products) to motor vehicles. The Standard describes pretreatment procedures, possible accesses to surfaces that are to be treated, application requirements, inspection and finishing requirements as well as retreatment procedures if the conditions of contract require that the vehicle be periodically retreated. Further, the Standard includes sample 'Data Sheets' which are required to be prepared by the rustproofer before the vehicle is treated.

Scope

This Standard sets out the procedures to be followed before, during and after applying corrosion inhibition products to motor vehicles.
