Scope

This Standard specifies performance requirements for interchangeable glow-starters used with preheat type fluorescent lamps.
This Standard should be read in conjunction with AS 1201. Reference to AS 3168 may also be required.
These starters are generally designed to operate with a range of lamps, depending on supply voltage, single lamp or series pair operation, maximum lamp voltage, and lamp starting requirements.
