Abstract

Specifies the geometry and method of use for conical entrance, quarter circle and eccentric orifice plates. The Standard applies to conduits with diameter less than 50 mm. It is identical with and has been reproduced from BS 1042: Section 1.2:1989.

Scope

This Section of BS 1042 : Section 1.2 specifies the geometry and method of use for conical entrance orifice plates, quarter circle orifice plates and eccentric orifice plates. Requirements are also specified for square-edged orifice plates and nozzles under conditions outside the scope of BS 1042 : Section 1.1.
NOTE. The titles of the publications referred to in this standard are listed on the inside back cover.
