Abstract

Sets out the common names recommended for pesticides used in Australia, together with a description of their chemical name, using the IUPAC rules for nomenclature, and an illustration of their chemical formula. A recommended pronunciation is also given. The conventions adopted rely heavily on those adopted by ISO.

Scope

This Standard lists the common names recommended for pesticidal chemicals used in Australia. These chemicals include fungicides, herbicides, insecticides, plant growth regulators, rodenticides and ecto-parasiticides, but do not include organisms.
