This Standard sets out requirements for labels which the user attaches to drug-filled syringes so that the contents can be identified just before use during anaesthesia. It covers the size, colour and pattern of the label and the typographic characteristics of the wording.
NOTE: The use of colours is intended only as an aid in the identification of drug groups and does not absolve the user from the duty to read the label and correctly identify the drug prior to use.
