Abstract

Specifies requirements and guidelines for the design, construction, operation and maintenance of waterborne inflatable equipment and facilities to promote safety for operating staff and patrons.

Scope

This Standard specifies safety requirements and test methods related to materials, safety, performance, operation and management of constant airflow inflatable devices when used as amusement devices on controlled water. It also specifies information to be supplied with the equipment.
NOTE: The next edition of this Standard is intended to also include sealed inflatable devices other than aquatic toys, e.g. blow up rings, inflated seahorses, rings intended for use on water slides, flotation aids for water familiarization.
