Specifies the requirements and the type of cleaning operations for which acidic detergents are useful, and specifies criteria for available acid content, degree of foaming and other physical properties. Appendices describe methods for assessing the acid content, corrosion potential and degree of foaming.
This Standard specifies requirements for acidic detergents intended for use in the cleaning of milking and dairy factory equipment.
NOTE: These detergents may be corrosive to metals other than stainless steel and could also adversely affect plastics.
