Scope

This Standard sets out test methods to assess the ignitability of material combinations such as covers and fillings used in upholstered seating, when subjected to gas flame ignition sources greater than the match-flame equivalent source in AS/NZS 3744.2.

NOTE: The gas flame ignition sources in this Standard are referred to as Source 2 and Source 3 and are identical to those in BS 5852. Source 1 is the match-flame equivalent source given in AS 3744.2.
