Scope

This Standard specifies the basic principles and operating test for cyclic corrosion/UV exposure of paints on metals, using alternating periods of exposure in two different cabinets; a cycling salt/dry cabinet, and a fluorescent UV/condensation cabinet.
This test is limited to the methods of obtaining, measuring and controlling exposure conditions, and procedures. For the evaluation of results refer to AS 1247.
