Abstract

Sets out requirements for overwind safety catch systems in vertical shaft drum winding and friction winding installations. Covers materials, design, testing and certificates. Appendices provide guidelines on the information to be provided by the purchaser and the supplier.

Scope

This Standard specifies requirements for overwind safety catch systems in vertical shaft winding installations.

Guidelines on information that should be provided by the purchaser are given in Appendix A.
Guidelines on information that should be provided by the supplier are given in Appendix B.
