This document has been declared "CANCELLED" by the Aerospace Materials Division, SAE as of December 2010. By this action, this document will remain listed in the Numerical Section of the Index of Aerospace Material Specifications indicating that it has been "CANCELLED".

This specification covers an aluminum alloy in the form of extruded bars, rods, and shapes.

These extrusions have been used typically for parts in structural applications requiring strength similar to 7050-T6 with good exfoliation resistance and with a lower density of approximately 7.8%, but usage is not limited to such applications.
