This specification covers a premium aircraft-quality corrosion and heat resistant steel in the form of bars, forgings, mechanical tubing, and forging stock.

These products have been used typically for critical carburized parts such as bearings, cams, shafts gears, and bolts operating in a corrosive environment under heavy loads and high speeds at elevated temperatures, and subject to very rigid inspection standards, but usage is not limited to such applications.
